Holidays in the Var countryside

Back from the Var coast and its prestigious seaside resorts (Cannes and St Raphael at 37 kilometers), campsite Lou Cantaïre, hidden in the Mediterranean countryside among the rolling hills which dominate the plain and perching delightful medieval villages with a southern accent such as Fayence (5 km), Seillans, Tourrettes, etc. At 14 kilometers from Camping Lou Cantaïre you can enjoy the calm waters of Lake St. Cassien, and rent a pedalo boat or a kayak to discover this natural lake, preserved from all motorised boats, or simply sunbathe in the Riviera sunshine. At the gates of the camping there are many walking opportunities to discover the Provence in Pagnol's world.

Hiking in the Verdon Gorge

Not far from the campsite, the Gorge du Verdon is the biggest rock canyon in Europe. At its highest point it is possible to admire the gorges from viewing points that punctuate hiking routes. After winding its way down the cliffs, the Verdon River flows into Lake St. Croix and forms a calmer landscape where the sky and the lake unite in beautiful shades of blue. Around the lake, many authentic villages including Moustiers Sainte Marie are well worth a visit.
